Vijay Suriya is a well-known TV actor who has acted in feature films as well. And come November, his fans will get to see him in a new avatar. Yes, he has been roped in to host the TV comedy show Comedy Talkies. According to Vijay Suriya, who had shot for Comedy Talkies recently, it will be the first time for him to handle such a show and he is upbeat about it. Interestingly, Comedy Talkies will be aired on prime slot during the weekends, while his highly popular show Agni Sakshi in which he plays the role of Siddharth will be telecast during the weekdays. This gives an opportunity to all his fans to see him in action all seven days of the week.

Vijay Suriya is reported to have told the Times of India, “This is the first time that I am trying my hand at hosting and I am excited. We began shooting for the show on Sunday and it goes on air in November. The interesting part is that this comes on air the same time as Agni Sakshi does, but on weekends. So, the audience can now see Siddharth from Agni Sakshi on the weekdays, but also get a chance to know Vijay Suriya, the person, on weekends.”

Incidentally, Srujan Lokesh and Rachita Ram have been roped in as permanent judges for Comedy Talkies while one judge would be different for each show.

Apart from these two TV shows, Vijay Suriya also has two films – Kaddu Mucchi and Lucknow To Bangalore – in his kitty in different stages of production.

Vijay made his debut with the movie Crazy Loka which was directed by Kavitha Lankesh in which he played the role of Ravichandran’s son. However, he rose to fame in 2014 with Agni Sakshi, a Kannada serial aired on Colors Kannada.
