Ulaganayakan salutes Kerala Chief Minister on the appointment of non-Brahmin priests

Universal Star(Ulaganayakan) Kamal Haasan, who recently called on the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, has saluted the dignitary for his government’s decision on recruiting 36 non-Brahmin priests by the famous Travancore Dewaswom Board Temples.

The Travancore Dewaswom Board is also controls the world-famous Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala also.  The decision was came in to effect after the Kerala government’s push.

“Bravo Travancore Dewasom board. Salute to Kerala CM Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan for appointing 36 non-Brahmin priests. Periyar’s dream realized,” Kamal tweeted on Monday.

On the revolutionary decision, out of 42 newly appointed priests, 36 of them are non-Brahmin priests and 6 of them are from Dalit Community.

There is a speculation that Kamal Haasan will launch his political party on his birthday on Nov 7th.  Recently, he caused confusion when he said that he is ready to work in tandem with the Bharatiya Janata Party if it “benefits the people”.
