Santhosh P. Jayakumar, the debutant director of the Gautham Karthik-Nikki Galrani starrer Hara Hara Mahadevaki which releases today in theatres, asserts that the film won’t vulgarish despite it carrying an ‘Adults only’ certification from the Censors.
Besides Gautham and Nikki, others in the cast include Rajendran, Sathish, Bala Saravanan, Manobala and Karunakaran. Billed as an ‘adult comedy’, a 3-minute long footage of the film was released a day before its actual release in theatres on Friday. It may be noted that the sounds accompanying the film’s title tracks are also of the ‘adult’ category.
“The film doesn’t have any lip-lock sequence, glam-filled costumes by the heroine or other dancers, etc. The script of the film is about something which is not often discussed easily in public by friends. The film can be watched with those close to us without any cause for embarrassment.
“Despite the pre-release criticism of the film, I don’t think this film would pollute the audiences’ minds. The protagonist (Gautham) attempts a very new profession in the film and I can’t say much about the script as of now,” concludes Jayakumar.
