Actor-producer Vishal would be making his debut as an actor in Mollywood with the Deepavali release of the film titled as Villan.

Mohanlal, Hansika, Rashi Khanna, Manju Warrier, Siddique and Renji Panicker form the rest of the major cast in the film which has been directed by P. Unnikrishnan. Manoj Paramhamsa is the film’s cinematographer while Suhan Shyam has scored the film’s music.

‘Rockline’ Venkatesh, who made superstar Rajinikanth’s Lingaa some time back, has produced the film at a whopping cost of Rs.30 crores. Villan is to release in theatres on 18th October on the day on which the Telugu version of Vishal’s Thupparivaalan (titled as Detective) would also be releasing.

Notably enough, Vishal has dubbed in his own voice for his characters in Villan and Detective. He would also have his Irumbu Thirai releasing in theatres in Pongal during January next year.
