Asking Sex in favor of granting a role in Film is not a new thing. It exists in the entertainment industry from long years ago. But, recently many actresses came open to disclose about the bitter experiences they faced.

The latest actress who came forward about the bitter experience in the film Industry is Kollywood actress Aishwarya Rajesh.

Aishwarya shocked her peers in particular and the film industry in general by revealing that she too faced the ‘sex-for-film offer’ proposals five years ago.

Aishwarya Rajesh, who gained her fame through Debutant film-maker Manikandan’s 2015 hit film Kakka Muttai, which is produced jointly by national award-winning actor Dhanush and national award-winning film-maker Vetrimaaran.

This movie revealed the ‘actress’ in Aishwarya Rajesh as she boldly took on the role of two grown-up boys in the film, which show-cased the craze for pizza among the economically deprived classes and the resultant effects in a firm manner.

Aishwarya has also entered in to Bollywood Industry with ‘Daddy’ which released on last Friday (08th September) across the cinemas in the country. Speaking to a leading English daily recently, Aishwarya spilled the beans about the issue about which not many actresses feel comfortable to discuss with or talk about.

When talking to a Leading English daily, Aishwarya spilled the beans about the issue about which not many actresses feel comfortable to discuss with or talk about.

“Unlike South Indian film-makers, their peers in Bollywood don’t look for fair-skinned heroines. A few things have changed of late. When I tried to enter film industry five yers back, I was told to ‘adjust’ and was offered the ‘sex-for-film offer’ proposals which I summarily rejected. Those who made the proposal are still in the film industry and are apprehensive that they may be exposed.

“Nowadays, I feel that the ‘adjustment’ issue no more exists. However, the gender bias is still there which reflects in the disparity in pay between a hero and a heroine. When a top hero easily gets Rs.10 crores per film, Nayantara gets not more than Rs.3 crore per film of hers. This (bias) hasn’t changed a bit,” Aishwarya, busy with Gautham Menon and Vetrimaaran’s upcoming films in her kitty, said.
