Mohanlal’s ‘Drishyam’ rights bought by a Chinese company

Director Jeethu Joseph’s Drishyam is one of the highest grosser in the history of Malayalam cinema. This crime thriller has been remade in most Indian languages.

Now, a Chinese movie company has bought the remake rights of Drishyam. The news was announced by director Jeethu Joseph and producer Antony Perumbavoor.

Superstar Mohanlal shared the news with this note:

“Malayalam Movie Industry is conquering more heights, Today at Beijing a Chinese Company bought the remake rights of our movie Drishyam. Indeed a Proud moment for our Industry and Congrats to the whole team behind the success of Drishyam”

Mohanlal played the hero in Drishyam, which also had Meena, Asha Sarath, Siddique and Kalabhavan Shajon. Jeethu Joseph is now busy shooting Aadhi, which will launch Mohanlal’s son Pranav as the hero. Antony Perumbavoor is the producer of Aadhi.
