Kochi,Sept11:It has taken just three years for the actress, who is still young enough to give Kollywood’s frontline heroines a run for their money, to return to films as she has reportedly signed up to play the lead role in her Bangalore Days director Anjali Menon’s new, untitled film. She hasn’t yet signed up any film in Kollywood, though, but news of her comeback to films should make her fans go wild.
Amala Paul, who married director Vijay and divoriced him some time back, is trying her best to reclaim her old spot as a frontline Kollywood heroine. Her photo-shoots and the character of a cheating wife she has taken on in her upcoming film Thiruttu Payale send a clear message across to her fans and film-makers that she is game for all kinds of roles including roles which ooze oomph and glamour.
Nazriya’s case is different: though she has starred in only four Tamil films (Raja Rani, Naiyaandi, Vaayai Moodi Pesavum and Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah), she has already earned a name for being an actress of substance on the lines of Revathi and Suhasiniof yesteryears and as such, comeback for her should be an easy affair.
It, however, remains to be seen whether Nazriya is able to make it again to the list of frontline actresses in the industry which has ‘seniors’ in the form Trisha, Nayantara, Kajal Aggarwal, and Tamannaah, promising newcomers such as Keerthy Suresh, Lavanya Tripathi, Catherine Tresa, Regina Cassandra and Pranitha Subhash!
