Actress Abduction Case: Kerala Police move court against Ganesh Kumar MLA

The probe team of actress abduction case has approached the court against MLA KB Ganesh Kumar for allegedly making statements supporting actor Dileep who has been remanded under actress abduction case.

The police informed the court that his statements were pre-planned and intended to mislead the witnesses.

Police said that allowing more visitors in jail will affect the investigation and asked the court to intervene in the issue. Hence, the court demanded report from Aluva Jail Superintendent over the issue.

MLA KB Ganesh Kumar visited Dileep at Aluva Sub jail on Tuesday, the day before Dileep came out of jail to perform his father’s death anniversary rituals. While addressing the media after visiting Dileep, Ganesh told that those who accepted Dileep’s help should support the actor at this juncture and visit him in jail.

Many people from the film industry visited Dileep on holidays after this statement. The probe official Baiju Police pointed out that it was a planned movement.

According to the rules in jail, visitors are allowed twice in a week. Visitors are not allowed on holidays. But people from the film industry visited Dileep on holiday violating the rules.

Dileep’s mother, wife Kavya Madhavan and daughter Meenakshi, actor Jayaram, Vijayaraghavan, producer Antony Perumbavoor and Benny P Nayarambalam visited Dileep.

The report filed by the probe team alleged that the visitors to Dileep are a part of a conspiracy.

The authority has decided to restrict visitors to Dileep after the court demanded an explanation from Jail superintendent. The police approached the court in the wake of an increase in the number of members of film fraternity visiting Dileep in the last few days.
