Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Friday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Mollywood director Nadhirshah who was asked to re-appear before the probe team in the February 17 actress abduction case.

The Court rejected Nadhirshah’s plea to prevent his arrest in the actress abduction Case. In his plea, Nadhirshah stated that the Police pressurize him to give statements against Dileep, who is still continuing in Aluva Sub Jail and the same court rejected his bail plea three times before.

The bail plea of Nadihirsha should consider in this court on September 13th.

The director, and his friend and actor Dileep had been grilled for nearly 13 hours by the police on June 28. Dileep was subsequently arrested on July 10 for allegedly plotting the attack.

Yesterday, Soon after the Kerala Police issued summons to appear before the probe team, the Nadhirshah sought treatment at a private hospital in Kochi. But once discharged, he would have to present himself before the police.

However, the prosecution pointed out that Nadhirshah was yet to be named as an accused in the case and so there was no question of granting the bail.

The prosecution opposed the bail plea, citing that only one phase of the investigation was over with Dileep’s arrest.

More evidence needs to be gathered and for the Nadhirshah will have to be questioned, the source close to prosecution said.
