Malayalam actress Sajitha Madathil has come out slamming celebrities for visiting actor Dileep at Aluva sub jail, who was arrested on July 10 for allegedly conspiring the February 17 actress attack.

Talking to a TV channel, Sajitha said, “Those who visited Dileep in jail have not even bothered to call up or inquire about the attacked actress. Apart from her close friends, none from the industry visited her. From this, it is evident that top Mollywood stars are still with the accused and are supporting him. Women in cinema collective will look into the matter and take up necessary decisions.”

About actor-turned-politician Ganesh Kumar’s open support for Dileep, Sajitha Madathil said, “It’s undemocratic for a people’s representative to openly support a person who is undergoing trial in a sensational case. I can’t understand how people in the industry are taking such stands. It is sheer drama.”

Earlier, Ganesh Kumar after visiting Dileep, told reporters, “Those who had received favors from Dileep earlier should not ditch him during these troubled times… There is no point in isolating him as he has not been declared guilty by the court.”

Scriptwriter Benny P. Nayarambalam, actor Sudheer, film-producers Antony Perumbavur, Bijoy Chandran, actor Jayaram, film director Renjith, actor Harisree Asokan and Kalabhavan Shajon had visited Dileep in jail.
