There’s a bad news for comedian and actor Kapil Sharma, who’s been struggling with the ratings of his Sony TV show after several of his co-stars quit the program a few months ago.

Now there are reports that the channel has finally run out of patience with the actor and decided to shelve Kapil Sharma Show. According to sources, the channel has put Kapil’s show on hold for a while due to the comedians’ health issues.
As reported earlier, the popular comedian has had to deal with the host of issues including his own poor health. Twice he fainted on the sets of Kapil Sharma Show, while on few other occasions, he simply did not turn up for the shoot forcing big stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Anil Kapoor to leave the show.
Now the channel plans to air his old episodes at 8 PM on the weekend while the 9 PM slot will be filled with The Drama Company, a show that Kapil’s rival, Krushna Abhishek fronts along with several other comedians.

Sony TV’s official spokesperson said in a statement, “Kapil has been under the weather for some time now, due to which, we have mutually agreed to take a short break. However, once he recovers completely, we will start shooting again. We value our relationship with Kapil and wish him a speedy recovery,”
The show has been mired in controversy ever since Kapil fought with his former co-star Sunil Grover, prompting the latter to leave the show.
