Performance

Vijay Devarakonda came with a power packed performance in the role of Arjun Reddy. He slipped into the role filled with different variations with effortless ease and came out with trumps showing different expressions and emotions. His body language is good and right from the start to finish, Vijay wowed all as a youngster who cares a hoot for anything or anyone, as a lover, as a college student and as a person who gets marriage shock and who turns alcoholic and drug addict due to his short temper and circumstances. Vijay Devarakonda carried the entire film on his shoulders.

Shalini Pandey sizzled with her innocent looks as a fresher and turned red hot in intimate scenes. Her lip locks are a treat to watch. Rahul Ramakrishna attracted with his comedy, humour and antics as Vijay’s friend.

Others like Kanchana, Sanjay Swaroop, Kamal Kamaraju, Gopinath Bhat, Amit Sharma, Priyadarshi, Bhuvan, Aditi myakal played their roles accordingly.

Analysis

Generally love stories always look similar and it all boils down to how filmmakers narrate the story with interesting twists and turns weaving magic with their screenplay and direction. Sandeep Vanga came with a love story and also surprised all with a lengthy runtime of three hours.

Many felt that the three hours duration could have negative impact. But surprisingly viewers do not get bored for most part of the film and that itself is a great achievement from the director. Sandeep Vanga chose to highlight the developments in the life of a short tempered youngster who gets addicted to drugs after his girl friend gets married to another person.

He highlighted the emotions and feelings of the hero in a beautiful manner and this will instantly connect chords with the youngsters and those in love. The film moves smoothly and the first half ends with the college life, romance, love story before it ends in a conflict due to elders.

Second half shows how hero finds it unable to come to the terms of the present life post the conflict and director springs a surprise in the climax when viewers are about to get bored and try to predict their own climax. Climax surprises everyone and this elevated the film to another level. Dialogues are good and made good impact.

Final Talk

Arjun Reddy thrills with an intense romantic love angle.
