Mumbai: Film maker Ram Gopal Varma is one person in the Film industry, who speaks out his mind without any hesitation.
Ramu who targeted Telangana government and excise enforcement officials for targeting celebrities from Telugu film industry in the ongoing drug scandal, has now targeted Telugu Film Chamber. He has written a letter to the Film Chamber of Commerce, by criticising its attitude and approach to the drugs case.
The director found fault with the Telugu Film Chamber for writing an apology letter to the state government in the drugs scam. He said issuing an apology letter is more insulting than facing allegations in the drugs scandal.
RGV pointed out that none of the film personalities (Puri Jagannaadh, Ravi Teja, Subba raju, Charmee Kaur, Mumaith Khan, Navdeep, Tarun, Tanish, Nandu, Srinivas Rao, Chinna and Shyam K Naidu) who was questioned by the SIT of the Telangana excise and prohibition department agreed that they consumed drugs and even Special Investigation Team (SIT) did not confirm the news.
RGV feels that the Film Chamber shouldn’t have written the letter when no person has been held guilty. He questions, “What are they apologizing for?” Ramu added that it is not the industry that should feel shy, but those who have asked for apologies on behalf of Tollywood in drugs case should feel shy.
