Toilet Ek Prem Katha staring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar was declared tax free in Uttar Pradesh for its social message. Both the lead actors were in Lucknow on Friday to promote their upcoming film.  Kumar met CM Adityanath there and soon after the big announcement was made.

Besides, Akshay Kumar was also chosen as the brand-ambassador for clean Uttar Pradesh. Kumar shouted slogans of cleanliness and said it is very important for everyone, especially women, to have basic facilities of a safe and clean toilet.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is directed by Shree Narayan Singh. It deals with the need for sanitization in India and is based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat campaign. It also stars Anupam Kher in a pivotal role.
