Ever since Mohanlal announced the project people were eagerly waiting with the question whether this film will happen or not?

Thiruvananthapuram: Mollywood Superstar Mohanlal’s upcoming multilingual movie titled ‘Mahabharata’ is one which the movie world is looking forward to.

Ever since Mohanlal announced the project people were eagerly waiting with the question whether this film will happen or not?

Clarifying all rumors on the project, the producer of the film BR Shetty has finally confirmed the project.
As per latest updates, the shooting of the film will flag off in Abu Dhabi sometime next year. The film may be India’s most expensive movie project and will be made on a budget of Rs.1,000 crore.
The mythological drama directed by VA Sreekumar is based on legendary writer MT Vasudevan Nair’s masterpiece ‘Randamoozham,’
Meanwhile, controversies also started along with the announcement of the film. Now, the fringe group Hindu Aikya Vedi Kerala State President KP Sashikala criticized against the name of the proposed movie.
‘There is an epic named Mahabharata, written by Veda Vyasa. If the film is based on the story of Veda Vyasa, there is no problem to name it as ‘Mahabharata’.
‘But, this film is purely based on the literary work of MT Vasudevan Nair. His work’s name is ‘Randaamoozham’ and why can’t they put the same name to their film?’ asks Sasikala.
‘If the film released on the name ‘Mahabharata’, Hindu Aikya Vedi will protest against this in theaters’ the State President of the organization clarifies.
Anyway, it is sure that on coming days the debate about the most expensive film project in Indian Movie industry should take place in the news.
