Piracy is the cancer of Film industry. Many from not only the movie industry, but also from the authorities take their maximum steps to destroy the pirators.
As the makers of Suriya’s Singham -3 are getting to ready to finally release the film on 9th February, after suspending couple of times in December and January for various reasons, it has now facing threat from online piracy racket Tamil Rockerz.
Suriya’s fans and welfare association, Kerala Unit approached Kerala Cyber Cell in Thiruvananthapuram, after the owner of a website which hosts piracy movies online, posted on his Facebook that they will be releasing the pirated version of Singham 3 on 9 February at 11am .
The association president lodged a complaint against Tamil Rockerz site and demanded immediate probe by Police authorities.
While Mollywood Industry has managed to overcome piracy market to a great extent, Kollywood films are still falling prey to this illegal activity.
In case of Singham-3, the piracy makers have gone a step ahead and by announced the release time of its piracy version. Last month the same team released the movie ‘Bairavaa’ online with prior notice.
Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru and Bogan are the other two recent Tamil films that were victimized on Facebook in less than a week’s gap of release.
Since the piracy website team having links with international rackets which operating from different domains and locations, the anti-piracy cell in Tamil Nadu is trying to nab the culprits in no time.
At the same time, the Facebook post by the pirators attracting strong criticism from film producer KE Gnanavel Raja and from fans of Suriya across the country.
Amidst these conditions, it remains to be seen how will this Suriya starrer perform at box office and it is needless to say what kind of impact the piracy will show on film collections.
